Great music night first Wednesday of the month. Great pints of Guinness and friendly staff. Pub is quirky and just like it was 50 years ago. Well worth a visit.

Guinness & pintsFriendly staff
Call me biased, but this is authentically one of the best real Irish pubs in the country.
I had been going to Phil Carrolls since the 90s before emigrating, so every time I come home, going for a pint a Phil's is a must.
Truth be told, I do not drink Guinness outside of Ireland, simply because (rightly or wrongly) I believe it couldn't match a glass of the black stuff at home.
Cheers to you Phil Carrolls and your friendly staff
If you want to enjoy a genuine old style pub in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, then this is the place. No fancy seating, the pub is narrow in places but has a lot of hidden seating areas for customers to sit and enjoy a drink. Staff are brilliant, you won't be left standing at the bar. Your seating could be an old stool while sitting at an old singer sewing machine. Make sure when in Clonmel to pay a visit. You won't be disappointed.
